Welcome to St. George's Anglican Church in Utopia! Here, you’ll find that history, faith, and community come together to create a truly special experience. Although small in size, the church is big in spirit, with a rich history that spans back to 1873.
Originally built on land donated by John Jennett, St. George's Anglican Church has been a cornerstone of the Utopia community for over a century. A beloved and cherished institution in the community, St. George’s has continued to thrive over the years. In 1998, the church celebrated its 125th anniversary with the installation of a beautiful baptismal stained glass window, which pays tribute to the people who laid the foundation of the church and those who have faithfully continued to worship here.
One of the most beloved traditions at St. George's Anglican Church is the annual Strawberry Supper, which has been a much-anticipated event since its inception in 1914. The church's fundraising efforts are also supported by the ACW (Anglican Church Women), which started in 1919 and still holds fundraising events such as catering and the annual bazaar.
